גְּדִיm. (b. h.) 1) kid, in gen. young animal. Ḥull. 113ab (ref. to Gen. 38:17) כאן ג׳ עזיםוכ׳ here it reads gdi izzim from which we learn that wherever gdi without any qualification is used, it includes cow and sheep.
